SHUKRATAL MANDIR – INDIA
Shukratal Temple, located in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, India, is a sacred pilgrimage site deeply rooted in Hindu tradition. It is revered as the place where Sage Sukadeva Goswami narrated the Srimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata Purana) to King Pariksit, the grandson of Arjuna and son of Abhimanyu, during his final seven days of life after being cursed by a snake. This event, central to Hindu spirituality, took place under a massive 5,100-year-old banyan tree known as the Akshaya Vat Vriksha, which is believed to never shed its leaves, symbolizing eternal life.
